B & A Bees

We started out as hobby apiarists more  than  30  years  ago  and  now  we  are  one  of  the  leading  apiarist  in  our  local  area  for  products  of  the  hive,  bees,  and  education  about  honeybees.  Our  products  range  from  10  types  of  honey,  wax  products,  candles,  lip  balm,  lotion  bars,  bee  smooth  and  several  other  items.    We  are  long  standing  members  in  the  American  Bee  Federation,  Georgia  Beekeepers  Association,  and  our  local  bee  club  Forsyth  Beekeepers  Club  where  we  help  to  teach  bee  school,  queen  rearing  classes,  disease  and  disorders  class,  and  many  other  educational programs  about  honeybees.  

Our  honey  has  won  many  state  and  local  awards  over  the  years  to  include  many  first  place  blue  ribbons  and  even  best  tasting  honey  in  Georgia.    We  are  located  in  a  fantastic  area  of  North  Georgia  that  gives  us  an  outstanding  honey  flavor  due  to  the  different  nectar in  our  area .    And  we  move  some  of  our  bees  up  to  extream  North  Georgia  in  higher  elevations  to  get  our  pure  sourwood  honey  during  the  summer.    We  call  it  our  second  honey  season.    The  conditions  allow  the  bees  to  produce  a  monofloral  honey  that  brings  forth  the  unique  characteristics  of  sourwood  honey.  We  sell  all  our  honeys  raw  and  unfiltered,  retaining  flavors  and  characteristics  that  would  be  lost  in  the  process  of  pasteurization  and  homogenization.    

B & A  Bees  sourwood  honey  does  tasted  special.   Its  flavor  is  developed  while  our  honeybees  are  foraging  at  altitudes  above  2000  feet  in  elevation  and  the  mountain  air  really  allows  the  bees  to  cure  the  honey  to  a  wonderful  flavor.
